Delhi Rape
New Delhi, April 23: Chilling revelations in the rape case of a 5-year-old girl continues to shock the countrymen. The two accused, who have been arrested by Delhi police, reportedly told police that they had abducted and raped the toddler after watching a porn movie.

The main accused 25-year-old Manoj Kumar, during police interrogation, revealed that he along with another accused 19-year-old Pradeep Kumar consumed alcohol at the latter's residence. Then the duo watched porn in Pradeep's mobile phone and returned to Manoj's rented house.

The child was playing outside Manoj's room and the two accused invited her inside the room on the pretext of giving chocolate. The two men also said that they had repeatedly raped the girl. According to their statements, Manoj asked Pradeep to kill the toddler. After the heinous crime, Pradeep strangled the victim and left the place thinking the girl dead.

The five-year-old girl was abducted on April 15 and kept hostage without food and water in a room in which the attacker lived.

The victim, who is currently under treatment at AIIMS hospital in the national capital, is believed to have recovered from her injuries. DK Sharma, the hospital medical superintendent, was quoted as saying, "She slept well on Saturday night, and is alert, conscious and speaking to her parents. Her vital parameters are stable, and the colostomy tube is functioning well. At this stage, as such there is no danger to her life."

Recently, Minister Milind Deora, during an interview with NDTV, claimed, "I think we need some consensus as a society if such material causes violence." Deora's remark surfaced during the debate over demand of banning porn movies in the country.

Deora was quoted as saying, "I don't have a view on whether someone watching such things (pornography), obscene to someone, can trigger violence," and added, "If the ministry of IT and the government decides to censor it, then we will find ways to do so."
