Why motormouth Sidhu is quiet, wife doing all talks?

New Delhi, April 13: It is strange but true, "motormouth" cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu is maintaining silence, while his wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu is doing all the talks on his behalf.

What is the reason behind Sidhu's unavailability to clarify his stand, as controversy between him and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has reached a zenith?

The latest controversy started after his wife wrote on Facebook about BJP sidelining her husband. Sidhu has won Lok Sabha elections thrice from Amritsar in BJP ticket.

In her recent Facebook post, Kaur accused BJP of sidelining her husband. Her comments on Facebook ignited speculations regarding cricketer-turned-politician quitting politics forever.

"How can you let an honest leader survive? One who does not believe in corruption, does not support criminals, does not become party to commission system, what good can he do to party?"

"So, finally you pair up to push him aside, make him feel suffocated in the system," Kaur wrote.

Kaur on Friday, April 12 expressed doubts over Sidhu contesting the 2014 parliamentary elections.

"He was not even allowed to constitute his own team in Amritsar district BJP, then how could he win the Lok Sabha elections?" Kaur said.

Asked whether any senior BJP leader contacted her after she aired her feelings on the social media, Kaur stated only state BJP president Kamal Sharma had contacted her.

She said her comments on Facebook did not target senior BJP leadership. "They were only to tell the people of Sidhu's constituency that he had not abandoned them, but was angry with the system."

In her latest Facebook post, Kaur expressed that for Navjot Sidhu and her politics was a mission and not a profession.
