Shinde residence chaos: 142 arrested, 13 policemen suspended

New Delhi, April 10: In a major security breach, more than 200 people barged into home minister Sushilkumar Shinde's residence on Wednesday.

The protesters barged in demanding to meet the Home Minister over he Jat reservation issue. However, Shinde is currently in Russia.

According to news coming in, 142 protesters have been arrested, while13 policemen have been suspended for the security breach.

While some of the protesters tried to enter the house, around 4 of the were able to do so. The main gate of the house was damaged by the protesters. "About three to four protesters barged into the minister's house. They also damaged the front gate," said a police officer.

The police has booked the protesters for sections 147 (rioting), 157 (harboring persons hired for unlawful assembly), 186 (obstructing public servant), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant) and 451 (trespassing) of the Indian Penal Code.
