Mona Singh MMS: Rumours about actress & dirty video clip

Mona Singh
Mumbai, April 10: Controversy over infamous Mona Singh MMS once again started brewing. Many people, who earlier had decided to keep quiet on the issue, now seem to have expressed their opinions.

Media reports quoted some TV folks as saying, "...the clip was apparently taken by a small-time actor who never made it. Others say it was shot before her Jassi days and the clip apparently originated in Delhi. There's also buzz that it was shot during her student days."

Despite such rumours, Mumbai police have declared that the video was a morphed one in which the TV serial actress' face was morphed on someone else' body. The actress had reported to her workplace the very next day of the incident when the video went viral. Speaking about her movements post MMS scandal, Mona Singh said, "I don't have to hide. I'm not scared of anything as I know it's morphed."

The actress said how the shocking and disgraceful incident compelled her to change her life in many ways. Speaking to a daily, Mona Singh was quoted as saying, "I never thought anything like this could happen to me. Now I completely sympathise and empathise with girls who have gone through such instances."

Addressing the pathetic condition of the country and increasing number of crimes against women, the actress said, "In spite of the furore over the Delhi gang-rape, crimes against women haven't decreased. All the men involved in these activities should be behind bars and punished so badly that they stop doing this."

Spitting venom against the culprit(s), Mona recently was quoted as saying, "...People need to realise that before being actors we're respectable women and have family and friends who we're answerable to and who get affected by negativity that is thrown in our direction."

She further added, "If today this can happen to me, it can happen to any innocent girl and things like this can ruin lives and careers forever."

"This is a very serious issue and it needs to stop! As members of the media, journalists and editors should also take a stand against such acts and not provide the culprits with the publicity that they are hoping for as the outcome of their dastardly acts," added Mona.

A case against unknown person(s) has been registered under the Information Technology Act. Mona is well-known over her TV serial Jassi Jaisi Koi Nehi and Aamir Khan's movie 3 Idiots.

After their investigation, Mumbai police experts claimed that the MMS video clip was superimposed and one of the two videos was five-to-six years old. Speaking about the progress of probe, Mumbai police officials were quoted as saying, "We have found two such clips. But it is five to six years old. They are finding out the link and the person who uploaded the MMS."
