During his rally in Amritsar, he declared that 5 months from now, Janatantra Morcha's next step will be decided at 'jan sansad' at Ram Lila Maidan.
Emphasising that the common man has a lot of power to bring down corrupt leaders, Hazare said, "There is a need for a ‘Jan Kranti' (people's revolution) and people as well as politicians should be made to realise that the common man has the power to pull down governments."
Anna Hazare was quoted as saying that the ‘jan sansad could be avoided if political parties give their viewpoints on the 25 points that the Morcha had sent to them'.
"So far, none of the parties has sent its views on these issues, including corruption, jan lokpal and empowerment of panchayati raj institutions," he said.
Also present was former army chief Gen VK Singh.Anna Hazare will start his tour across the country today to campaign for a stronger Lokpal bill.
The movement for the Janlokpal bill which started off with great aplomb in April 2011, lost momentum as infighting within members of India Against Corruption (IAC) began to take over.
