Amritsar gangrape: Police hint that girl knew the accused

Amritsar, March 26: Yet another girl has alleged of being gangraped in a moving car. However, with the police finding that she had received a number of calls prior to the incident, they are looking into whether the girl already knew the kidnappers.

"The girl has informed us that she was raped by four of them in the moving car and was later taken to the cantonment area," said the SP.

The girl who was abandoned was later found lying on the road side late on Monday night. She alleged that she was 'repeatedly raped' for almost 45 minutes after which she was thrown out of the vehicle.

The girl is undergoing treatment at a local hospital. She is undergoing a medical examination which confirmed that she was raped. However, the doctors said that there were no injury marks found on her body. A complaint has been filed against the 4 unknown persons.
