"Who would rape an elderly woman who is a mother of four?" was the shocking response a Dalit woman got when she went to the police station to lodge a complaint. The woman was allegedly raped by one of her neighbours on Wednesday night.
According to reports, additional superintendent of police Keshav Chandra Goswami was fussing to register a complaint of rape. The policemen in question, asked her questions about her children. When she said that her eldest son is 17 years old, he retorted, " Her oldest child is 17, why would anyone rape such an elderly woman?"
According to the spokesman, Additional Superintendent of Police 'Keshav Chandra Goswami has been transferred to CB-CID, Kanpur while Devendra Nath Dwivedi who was posted in Kanpur goes to Deoria in his place.
