BJP to announce PM candidate after state polls: Sushil Modi

New Delhi, March 21: BJP leader and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Thursday said the party will announce its prime ministerial candidate once the state assembly elections get over.

The party has been dilly-dallying the matter after NDA allies like the JD(U) and Shiv Sena raised objection against the idea of picking Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as the PM candidate.

Modi also took a dig at the Congress, said any party which tries to bail out the Congress from the current chaos will also sink. He also slammed the Congress, saying the latter's assurance of granting special status to Bihar was an eyewash.
