EPL: Chelsea vs West Ham United Preview

London, Mar 17: After sealing a place in the quarter-finals of Europa League, Chelsea host West Ham United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Rafa Benitez could still end up having a silverware as the Blues are also in the last eight of the FA Cup. Chelsea have come back in their two previous matches, one against Manchester United in the FA Cup to draw 2-2.

The last time Chelsea met the Hammers at Upton Park, Sam Allardyce's men came from behind to win 3-1, but they have not won at Stamford Bridge for over a decade.

Hamnmers' away form this season is a worry, losing nine times on the road. But they have won two of their last four matches including an away win at Stoke last time out.

Chelsea's main aim would be to remain in the top-four. Arsenal are closing in within just two points after their win over Swansea while third-placed Tottenham host Fulham at White Hart Lane.

Team News

Chelsea striker Demba Ba could return to the starting XI after being cup-tied for Thursday's Europa League win over Steaua Bucharest.

West Ham midfielder Mark Noble and James Tomkins could be available while captain Kevin Nolan is a major doubt with a foot injury and Joe Cole misses out with a hamstring injury.

Trivia:

*This is the 99th meeting of the clubs in all competitions and they share 35 league wins each.

*The Hammers have taken only one point from their last six visits to Stamford Bridge.

Probable Lineups:

Chelsea (4-2-3-1): Cech-Ivanovic, Luiz, Cahill, Cole-Lampard, Ramires-Mata, Oscar, Moses-Ba

West Ham United (4-4-2): Jaaskelainen-O'Brien, Reid, Collins, Pogatetz-Collison, Diame, Taylor, Jarvis-Vaz Te, Carroll.
