Is cop father BB Mohanty behind impersonation of Bitti?

, who impersonated as Raghav Rajan led them to question Bitti's father former DGP of

BB Mohanty on Saturday.

Police officials said they interrogated senior Mohanty to find out his role in helping Bitti to led the dual life of Raghav Rajan.

Earlier senior Mohanty was suspended from his job for helping his son jump parole in 2006. Later on he was reinstated in his job. Senior Mohanty retired from his job last year.

His father told media persons that he would cooperate with the police in their investigations. The son of a top ranking police official, Bitti had raped a German tourist in Alwar in 2006 and jumped parole, on the pretext that his mother was unwell.

For more than six years he was absconding. Finally when he was arrested he was not Bitti, but Raghav Rajan, a bank official.

Last week police arrested Bitti from Kannur in Kerala. Now, police team investigating the case say they have enough evidence to show that Raghav is none-other-than Bitti.

Police sources say Bitti in collusion with his father, the former DGP of Odisha procured fake school and college certificates and managed to get an MBA degree from Kerala.

He also cleared his bank exam and was working with State Bank of Travancore. But, finally his luck ran out and it was an anonymous letter from his jilted lover which helped police to arrest him.

Even after his arrest he maintained that he is Raghav Rajan, a Telugite from Andhra Pradesh, who used to speak Malayalam.
