Bitti Mohanty dupes all, now true Love dupes him
However, Bitti, who have been maintaining a dual life on the name of Raghav Rajan, could not dupe his luck which played one of the biggest irony in his life. He seems to have fallen in true love which ultimately became disastrous for him.
According to sources, Bitti was in love with one of his female colleagues in the bank. Being in true love with the girl, Bitti revealed the shocking truth of his life and "had confessed to the girl that if given a chance he would be a better human being."
While the girl agreed to it, her parents were opposed to the match when they were told about his background. With the girl insisting about her choice, her parents wrote letters to the bank where he was working.
Even when the handwritten letters were sent to the bank, Bitti was able to hide the first letter. However, the second one reached the bank's headquarters after which they filed a complaint with the Kerala police, leading to his arrest.
Biiti even after his arrest maintained the identity of Raghav Rajan. But now he seems to have been cornered by a joint group of Rajasthan and Kerala police. He was taken to Rajasthan wherepolice conducted a fingerprinting test which verified that Bitti and Raghav Rajan is the same person.
Jaipur police commissioner BL Soni confirmed that a five-member team of Kerala Police matched his finger prints in Jaipur jail on Friday, March 15.
"The team collected evidence and matched his finger prints which verified that the person in their custody is Bitti Mohanty," Soni said. "Those who were in the investigating team of the rape case in Alwar also identified Mohanti," the commissioner added.
Kerala police, who have been investigating the case now, will hand over Bitti to Rajasthan police once their probe will comes to a final phase.
Bitti is the son of former Odisha DGP BB Mohanty, who helped him jump parole. Earlier, Bitti was sentenced to seven years of imprisonment for raping a 26-year-old German tourist in Alwar, Rajasthan.
When he was allowed a 15-day parole to meet his ailing mother in 2006 Bitti jumped parole and was absconding since then. Bitti's father was also accused of helping his son jump parole.
The former Odisha DGP was suspended and arrested on the charge of helping and hiding his son. But he was later reinstated in service and retired in 2012.
