The police official Hemender Singh, who had arrested Bitti identified him in Kerala on the basis of a scar on one of his legs.
Probably, Bitti should have removed that scar from his leg, like he removed all proof pertaining to his previous life.
Bitti alias Raghav was arrested by Kerala Police from Kannur last week.
Media reports say Bitti was brought from Alwar to Jaipur on Friday, March 15. Rajasthan Police is likely to get his custody for further investigation on the case. Bitti was absconding for more than six years, before he was arrested by Kerala police on March 8.
The case is high profile as Bitti is the son of former Odisha DGP BB Mohanty, who helped him to jump parole.
Earlier, Bitti was sentenced to seven years of imprisonment for raping a 26-year-old German tourist in Alwar, Rajasthan. But, he took advantage of his father's position when he was allowed a 15-day parole to meet his ailing mother in 2006.
Bitti jumped parole and was absconding since then. Bitti's father was accused of helping his son jump parole. The arrested man Raghav Rajan was working with State Bank of Travancore in Kerala. Bitti with the help of fake certificates, and passport started leading the life of Raghav to hoodwink police.
