Fidayeen Attack: K'taka to bid tearful adieu to brave son
The CRPF personnel killed in the terror attack was Satish. The 27-year-old soldier was from KR Pet, around 70 km from Mandya. Satish joined the CRPF force after doing a diploma course at the KR Pet ITI.
His body will arrive in Bangalore at 8.45 pm on Thursday. The Flags of Honour Foundation will receive the body of the slain constable Satish, when it will arrive in Bangalore.
Deputy commissioner BN Krishnaiah told media persons,"Satish will be cremated with full state honours in his native Alambadi village on Thursday."
He was the second son of Savitramma and Narayanashetti.
The grieving parents of Satish expressed pride that they had lost their son for the nation.
"We are proud of his service to the nation and his sacrifice," said his grieving mother Savitramma.
"His childhood dream was to join the Indian Army and serve the nation. When he expressed his desire to join the CRPF, we encouraged him. My elder son, Harish, is in the Army and posted in Himachal Pradesh. But I never worried that both my sons had joined the services,'' she said.
" He would tell us he was honoured to serve the nation. He used to exhort us to join the Army," said Chandru, a villager.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Rajya Sabha MP donated a cheque of Rs 2 lakh to Satish's family.
