Was she a terrorist? No, woman dares cops abuse at Assembly
Chandigarh, March 13: Not satisfied with the arrest of two Punjab Police constables who had physically abused a woman in Tarn Taran, Punjab last week, the victim, on Wednesday tried to barge inside the Punjab Assembly complex to demand justice.
The 22-year-old woman was accompanied by her father and Congress party leaders.
However, security personnel at the Assembly stopped her entry inside the complex.
"She did not have any entry pass. We stopped her for security reasons," a security official told mediapersons.
The scuffle ensued between Congress leaders accompanying the woman and security personnel at the Assembly complex.

"Was she a terrorist?" the Supreme Court asked earlier this week as it demanded information on how the cops involved had been penalised. Earlier, the woman complained of sexual harassment by truck drivers was beaten up by several personnel of the Punjab Police in Tarn Taran and the act was caught on camera.
Police has beaten up the woman's father and brother too. "My father and brother went to talk to the truck drivers who were harassing me. The policemen standing there asked what was happening. Once they learned what happened they took the drivers' side and started beating us," the woman alleged.
