Post-mortem report of Ram Singh reveals no external injuries

New Delhi, March 13: Ram Singh, the main accused in the 16 December Delhi Gangrape case died due to hanging. The post-mortem report reveals that there were no assault injuries on his body.

However, even now, his parents allege foul play. His father said that his son was tortured in jail. He even claimed that he had seen 'injury marks on the body and finger marks on the throat.' "He could not have committed suicide. My son was tortured and sodomised inside the jail," his father was quoted saying.

The post- mortem report was conducted by a three-member panel of doctors, at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences on Tuesday.

The post-mortem report will reach the court on Thursday. The A preliminary report has been give by Tihar Jail authorities before the Saket fast track court.

On Monday, Ram Singh, the main accused in the case was found hanging in Tihar jail. His parents fear for their younger son, Mukesh who is also one of the accused in the same case. Ram Singh, along with five other men brutally gang-raped and assaulted a 23-year-old paramedical student before throwing her out of a moving bus in the national capital on December 16, 2012. Later the victim died at a Singapore hospital on December 29, 2012
