Budget: PC's Google date with Aam Aadmi; is he copying Modi?
Following on the lines of Modi, finance minister P Chidambaram is going to interact with common man on Monday to dispel their doubts on Union Budget 2013 on Google+ Hangout - a multi person online video chat. Chidambaram presented the Budget on February 28.
During the question and answer round, which will begin from 8 pm onwards, finance minister is going to answer queries on Budget and Indian economy.
"This is a powerful communications platform and is accessible across the world for internet users," the finance ministry informed in a press release.
According to the press release, netizens can submit their questions by uploading a video, by commenting on the YouTube channel or through the Google India Page and tagging text or a video with the hashtag #askthefm.
Chidambaram will be joined by a select group of panelists such as Jahangir Aziz, India chief economist, JP Morgan; Anand Mahindra, CMD, Mahindra & Mahindra and Amit Singhal, senior vice-president, Google Inc.
Since, the Union Budget 2013 has failed to win approval from many people, finance minister is likely to face critical questions.
Many netizens are looking forward for the interaction, as Chidambaram becomes the first finance minister to interact with people directly over social networking sites.
