Hyderabad malls to install CCTVs, metal detectors
Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma on Monday issued the orders directing the commerical and government establishments to put in place security measures and secure customers and people visiting the premises.
They have been directed to ensure complete frisking of people and not to allow parking of vehicles in front of the buildings.

hotels,
lodges,
big
establishments,
entertainment
places
and
large
government/private
buildings
in
the
twin
cities
of
Hyderabad
and
Secunderabad.
The
orders
came
in
the
wake
of
Thursday's
twin
bomb
blasts
at
the
crowded
Dilsukh
Nagar
area,
killing
16
people
and
injuring
more
than
115
others.
The malls, hotels and commercial establishments will install door-frame metal detector at all entry points. "Install closed-circuit TVs for observing and recording suspicious movements/ activities, the recordings of which have to be kept in safe custody for a minimum period of one month," "the commissioner's order said.
Hyderabad has seen rapid growth in the last one decade and there are many malls spread over Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills and the IT corridor from Madhapur to new airport road.
