Hyderabad blasts: Karnataka had received alert
In the wake of the terror attacks, LR Pachau, Director General of Police, Karnataka held a meeting with senior police officers on Friday to look into the security measures in place. The meeting which was atttended by officials from Intelligences and Internal security wing reviewed the situation and discussed ways to counter attacks, if required.
Meanwhile, Bangalore police are working on enhancing security. Reports suggest that 'public places and sensitive areas where anti sabotage check squad, dog squads and bomb detection squads have been pressed into service.'
According to Additional Commissioner of Police T Suneel Kumar officials have been advised to increase patrolling.
In the twin blasts that shook Hyderabad on Thursday,at least 16 people were killed and more than 120 received severe injuries.
