During a meeting at Bhokar in Nanded district of Maharashtra, Togadia allegedly had given hate speech which has gone viral on internet. After watching the video, a resident of Hyderabad, Mohammad Arshad had made a police complaint against Togadia. The police began investigating the video and will take necessary steps, sources informed.
Reacting against Owaisi's speech where he had challenged Indian government to remove police for 15 minutes, Togadia was quoted as saying, "Remember Nellie in Assam, where the police was removed. Over 3000 people died, not one of them was a Hindu."
"Remember Bhagalpur, where the police was removed, so many people died that it was difficult to count, not one of them was a Hindu. Dead bodies flew into the sea. Remember Meerut, Moradabad, Gujarat," added Togadia at Bhokar which is 80 km from Nirmal in Adilabad district of Andhra Pradesh where Owaisi had made the infamous hate speech on Dec 24.
Owaisi is currently behind the bar. The Nirmal Town Police in Adilabad district had charged him with sedition, promoting enmity between different communities and waging war against the nation.
Protesting against the MIM MLA's statement, VHP and Bajrang Dal workers earlier had attacked the Lok Sabha MP and MIM supremo Asaduddin's house at Ashoka Road near India Gate in the national capital.
They also had damaged the MIM party board. The protesters hurled stones at Asaduddin's house and smashed window panes and also asserted that they will continue such attacks in the future.
Reacting against the protest and attack in Delhi, Asaduddin had challenged VHP and other party workers to attack his house during his presence.
