It is learnt that Faisal, who was residing in the Federal Lodges, allegedly committed suicide owing to extreme pressure and depression.
Islamabad IG Bani Yameen said apparently it looked like suicide but nothing could be said till the post-mortem reports were revealed. The body has been shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for post-mortem.
NAB Chairman Fasiullah Bokhari expressed grief over the death of Faisal.
Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had asked all those accused of corruption in the power scam to be arrested and the NAB chairman to report to the judiciary. The Supreme Court on Thursday expressed displeasure over the NAB's inability to carry out the arrest and dismissed the NAB's report as unsatisfactory. The apex court asked the agency to come back with case files on Jan 23 so that it could itself sort out the evidence and form the basis of accusation.
