Delhi Horror: 17-year-old student raped by 'Facebook Friend'

in national capital. Close on the heels of brutal gang-rape of a 23-year-old paramedical student who later died, a teenager has been allegedly raped by her "

friend".

The class 12 student told police that on New Year's Eve, she was raped by two men, one of whom she had befriended on social networking site Facebook a couple of days ago. The incident is said to have happened in south Delhi's Safdarjung Enclave area.

"Two men allegedly sedated and raped the teenager on New Year's Eve in the Safdarjung Enclave area of Delhi," said a police official.

"The two have been arrested and sent to judicial custody. The two accused are employees of an IT company," police official added.

As per the complaint filed by the student, she was taken by the accused to a flat where she was given a drink laced with sedatives. The two men allegedly raped her after she fell unconscious.

On the basis of the medical report and the girl's statement, the police has charged the two accused under Section 376/34 (rape with common intention).
