This was the first time in Indian history that a non-political social issue inspired all to reach Rashtrapati Bhavan demanding answer from the President of the country.
Silence of the President Pranab Mukherjee and other ministers fuelled up the agitation. Cops could not control the mob even after using tear gas, water canon and with lathicharge.
Total thirteen people were injured during mayhem at Raisina Hill which is a high security zone as it houses India's most important government buildings, including Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the President of India and the Secretariat building housing the Prime Minister's Office and several other important ministries.
