Bangalore, Dec 21: So, did you pray hard for the safety or wanted an end of the World? It does not matter which group you belong to. For all those who had slightest of belief in "Doomsday Theory" felt nothing less than "stupid" as the "World is Safe" and you all can party hard now to welcome 2013. Let the "apocalypse prophesies" remain quiet for sometime now.
Dec 21, 2012 marked the end of an age in a 5,125-year-old Mayan calendar. Everyone had thought the world would come to an end on Friday. But it didn't happen. As the dawn breaks on Friday, according to the Mayans' long-count calendar, it marks the end of the 13th bak'tun - an epoch lasting some 400 years - and the beginning of the 14th.
There have been hundreds of thousands of doomsday predictions since the beginning of recorded time and we are still here.
Twitter is abuzz with activities and many are making jokes of the entire forecast, which proved wrong.
If you're reading this tweet, you're still alive and the world clearly did not end. Congratulations! #Mayan #DoomsDay
