Narendra Modi
Ahmedabad, Dec 13: The day when Gujarat has gone for its first phase of assembly poll on Thursday, Dec 13, Ahmed Patel once again hurled another attack on Narendra Modi.

Slamming Modi and his government, Mr Patel said that people in Gujarat are "fed up with Narendra Modi" and hence they will bring Congress to power.

Earlier, Mr Patel, political secretary to Sonia Gandhi, had dubbed Modi as "sultan" by stating, "Mr Modi wants to rule Gujarat like a sultan of six crore people. People have to stop this sultan."

Mrs Gandhi's political secretary had also called the CM "most corrupt." Mr Patel had said, "He (Mr Modi) is saying that there is no corruption in Gujarat government. But it has been proved that he is the most corrupt person in Gujarat... If dogs from across the world are released, they would find Chief Minister's bungalow in Gandhinagar, a hub of corruption."

However, Mr Patel also had faced a counter attack from Modi. Criticising Mr Patel, Modi had said, "He (Mr Patel) called Modi a sultan!...but it is dynasty that produces sultans and you spent your life in the service of these sultans in New Delhi, hence you cannot think of any other word."

First phase of polling will decide the fate of many big-wigs like Keshubhai Patel, BJP state unit president RC Faldu, state Congress president Arjun Modhwadia and Leader of Opposition Shaktisinh Gohil.

The second phase will be held on Dec 17 and election results will be declared on Dec 20. Gujarat has 182 assembly constituencies.
