New Delhi, Dec 3: Now that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has taken next logical step in its process of acquiring the legal status of a political party, what will be its symbol?

Will the Election commission allot it 'the white cap" which came to represent anti-corruption and anti-establishment movement. The cap will serve twin purpose, represent the spirit of freedom movement and all remind one and all of Anna Hazare, under whose leadership Kejriwal acquired the vast middle class constituency.

The AAP of Arvind Kejriwal has approached the election commission for registration, exactly a week after its official launch. The party hopes to get an election symbol before the Assembly polls in Delhi next year.

"The registration process will take around two-three months time," AAP National Secretary Pankaj Gupta told reporters.

"Our meeting was brief. We've submitted our documents," Gupta told reporters. He also informed about the process which began with Kejriwal's Nov 26 formal launch of AAP to fight corruption.
