Anonymous India hacks Kapil Sibal's website
If one opens Sibal's website kapilsibalmp.com, it says the website has been hacked by Anonymous #OpIndia.
Freedom fighters of the web "Anonymous" had started Operation India (OpIndia) to protest censorship of websites in India. Anonymous had brought down several websites of Government and other private organisations through Distributed Denial of Service Attack.
The latest hacking incident of Sibal's website might be because of arrest of two Palghar girls, who were arrested for posting a comment questioning Mumbai's bandh over Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray funeral on Facebook. Moreover, on Wednesday, another 19-year-old boy from Palghar was detained by police for allegedly posting "abusive" comments on Facebook against MNS chief Raj Thackeray.
The hackers have changed the 'About Me' section of his website and also used foul language to criticise. To quote from the hacked website, "He somehow formed the rules in such a way, that everyone can censor everyone there by hiding behind everyone to be able to censor what really hurt him and his party."
Earlier this year, Sibal had asked the social media companies to obey the laws of the land. He said the government would introduce guidelines to keep a check on the blasphemous material appearing on the Internet.
