The MNS supremo, who is the nephew of the Shiv Sena supremo, also maintained a distance with the pallbearers who helped Uddhav Thackeray to carry Bal Thackeray's body.
Many raised eyebrows when Raj left the rally which was on its midway to reach Sena Bhawan where the body is expected to keep for darshan till the evening.
Raj had had a face-off with Bal Thackeray and his family members and had parted his way launching MNS. However, during the Sena patriarch's ailment, it seemed that they might have sorted out their differences. Raj accompanied Uddhav during his treatment in a hospital in Mumbai and visited Matoshree frequently enquiring about Bal Thackeray's health.
Now, with his sudden change in attitude shocked all during Bal Thackeray's last journey on Sunday, Nov 18. The procession began from Matoshree at 10 am. His last rites will be performed at Shivaji Park. Bal Thackeray breathed his last on Saturday.
