Mumbai, Nov 17: Shivaji Park at Dadar in Mumbai always remained a place near to Bal Thackeray's heart. The Shiv Sena patriarch had begun his political career from this park with his very first rally in 1966. The Thackerays always hold their annual Dussehra rallies year after year.
Ironically, Shivaji Park is going to be the place where the Shiv Sena supremo will be cremated. The place witnessed Mr Thackeray's political journey. The Sena chief breathed his last at 3:33 PM at their residence "Matoshree" at suburban Mumbai on Saturday, Nov 17.
According to Sena sources, procession with Mr Thackeray's body will start from Matoshree at 7 am on Sunday. The procession will reach Sena Bhawan by 10 and his body will be kept there for darshan till 5 PM. The last rites will be performed at Shivaji Park at 7 pm later in the day.
