Terror Attack: Assam's tea planter shot dead by NDFB gunmen

Guwahati, Nov 13: Television reports suggest one tea planter was shot dead by anti-talk faction of militant group National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) in Assam on Tuesday, Nov 13. Police sources say that the tea planter was killed in Nokda, in Sonitpur district of the state. The place falls near Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border.

However, police is yet to make any arrest in regard to the killing of the businessman. The killing of the tea planter has brought back the memories of early 1990's when large number of businessmen and politicians were shot dead by militant group United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA). Police sources are yet to reveal the reason behind the killing.
