Manchester, Nov 6: Sir Alex Ferguson celebrates 26 years as manager of Premier League giants Manchester United. The club will unveil a statue of the legendary manager at Old Trafford on Nov 23.

United will unveil the statue near the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand, renamed in his honour last year, prior to the Premier League clash against Queen Park Rangers, who were the Scot's first home opposition back in 1986.

The statue was commissioned last year to honour the 70-year-old's dominance in English football for 25 years, in which he won 12 league titles, two Champions League trophies, five FA Cups four League Cups, the Cup-Winners' Cup and one Super Cup and Intercontinental Cup and Club World Cup.

Apart from trophies, Fergie has won numerous individual awards namely, League Managers Association manager of the decade for the 1990s, has won three LMA manager of the year awards and the UEFA manager of the year for 1998-99, and on 10 occasions he has been voted the Premier League manager of the season.

The 9ft bronze statue will be built by award-winning sculptor Philip Jackson.
