BJP internal war: Ram Jethmalani's son quits nat'l executive
Mahesh's decision of quitting BJP NEC has brought internal war among BJP leaders in open.
The BJP MP Ram Jethmalani earlier on Oct 23 had asked Gadkari to quit from the post of BJP President.
Jethmalani had asserted that allegations against Gadkari in the Maharashtra land scam will compromise the BJP's campaign against corruption.
The BJP MP said that Gadkari should not be given the second term as the BJP president as there are serious allegations of corruption against him.
Despite Ram Jethmalani's opposition, Gadkari was being named as the president of the party for the second consecutive time.
According to sources, Mahesh on Monday sent a letter to the party without concealing his rage against Gadkari and his alleged involvement in several corruption cases.
In his letter, Mahesh wrote, "morally and intellectually inappropriate to be in the NEC till Nitin Gadkari is the party president."
