Mumbai, Nov 5: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, who is also known as "Khiladi", faced wrath of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers led by Raj Thackeray.

The film crew suffered a loss of Rs 22 lakh when the MNS members disrupted the shoot of "Khiladi 786" at Wilson College in Mumbai on Saturday, Nov 3.

MNS members alleged that the film crew can not continue their shooting within college campus while exams were underway.

Following the protest and disruption by MNS workers, Akshay Kumar-Himesh Reshammiya production crew showed their rage against the political party.

Times of India quoted one of the production members as saying, "If the MNS had problems with the shoot, they should have voiced it against the college management, who gave us the permissions."

The production member also claimed, "If tourists are hired as foreign extras for a day, the political parties ask for a work visa, despite knowing that tourists can't get such visas. These parties charge minimum Rs 5000 per person per day."

"Like MNS did during the shoot of Amitabh Bachchan's Buddah Hoga Tera Baap and Shiv Sena did during the shooting of Mallika Sherawat's item song for Tezz in Filmistan, Goregaon. If there's a foreign technician involved, these political parties charge a lumpsum amount of a couple of lakh rupees despite a work/business visa," added the official.
