EPL 2012-13: West Ham United vs Manchester City Preview

London, Nov 3: West Ham United will hope to exploit Manchester City's shaky defence when the two sides meet at Upton Park on Saturday.

Long injury list worries Roberto Mancini ahead of a hard test against the Hammers. But Sam Allardyce's men hope to come back after a disappointing defeat away at Wigan.

Although City's injuries are restricted to only defenders, they have plenty of firepower upfront. The champions only threat could be Andy Carroll who could test centre-backs Vincent Kompany and Joleon Lescott.

Hammers will be without Guy Demel and Matthew Taylor while Ricardo Vaz Te and Jack Collison are the Londoners' long-term absentees.

City, on the other hand, welcome back midfielder Javi Garcia and right-back Pablo Zabaleta while winger James Milner will serve his one-match ban.

However, Micah Richards suffered a serious ankle injury against Swansea City while full-backs Maicon and Aleksandar Kolarov are sidelined with ankle injuries.

City also welcome back influential playmaker David Silva and midfielder Jack Rodwell back in the squad.

Trivia:

*Edin Dzeko has played the least for Manchester City but has scored five goals in just 281 minutes.

*At this stage last season, City scored 33 goals compared to 18 this season.

Probable Lineups:

West Ham United (4-4-2): Jaaskelainen-Tomkins, Collins, Reid, McCartney-Benayoun, Noble, Diame, Jarvis-Nolan, Carroll.

Manchester City (4-4-2): Hart-Zabaleta, Nastasic, Kompany, Clichy-Javi Garcia, Y Toure, Barry, Nasri-Dzeko, Aguero.
