Earlier tsunami warning was issued around Queen Charlotte Islands off the west coast of Canada when a strong earthquake shook the island on Saturday.
Tsunami warning also have been issued at British Columbia and Alaska region. The earthquake with 7.7 magnitude on the Richter Scale hit the region at 8:04 local time (0304 GMT Sunday).
US Geological Survey informed that epicentre of the earthquake was located 139 kilometres (86 miles) south of the town of Masset.
People, who reside at low-lying areas, have been asked to move to higher ground.
