New Delhi, Oct 26: The upcoming Cabinet reshuffle of Congress-led UPA government is nothing less than a suspense thriller. Sources in Congress have confirmed that the long-pending Cabinet reshuffle is going to take place on Sunday, Oct 28. However, high profile Congress leaders like Rahul Gandhi, SM Krishna and Ambika Soni won't be part of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's Cabinet, revealed sources.

Sources said that External Affairs Minister SM Krishna is likely to be eased out of the cabinet. Congress leader Sachin Pilot told media that Rahul Gandhi was not after any post or position. Analysts feel that Pilot's comment indicates that Rahul won't be part of Cabinet once again.

Jyotiraditya Scindia and Sachin Pilot are among those who are likely to be elevated, said sources. The reshuffle could also see removal of some ministers caught in controversies like coal minister Sriprakash Jaiswal.

According to sources, Tourism Minister Subodh Kant Sahai may also be dropped. NCP is keen to replace Agatha Sangma with senior leader Tariq Anwar. Sources informed that Law Minister Salman Khurshid could lose Minorities Affair Ministry and Sports Minister Ajay Maken and Environment Minister Jayanthi Natarajan could also be elevated to cabinet ranks.
