During investigation, Bidushi's neighbour informed the police that they had seen an unknown person coming out of her flat on Monday. The building's watchman corroborated the neighbour's version.
The CCTV footage of all visitors to the building could be a great help to the investigators. The cops also had grilled Biushi's husband, Kedar who first discovered her body on Monday night.
Investigating officials were hopeful that Bidushi's mobile call records and messages may help them to solve the mystery. The former beauty queen reportedly had received over 100 missed calls and 200 text messages in the hours before she died.
Officials, who initially thought of filing a case of accidental death, revised their plans following post-mortem report which indicated that Bidushi had been killed with a sharp weapon.
Kedar averred that his wife was a diabetic. Investigators therefore thought that she might have fallen on a glass showcase due to complications associated with the disease and in the process sustained fatal injuries.
Glass shards were seen sticking out of her neck, cheek, jaw and chin. According to Kedar, Bidushi often felt giddy and even fainted quite a few times.
Besides, it did not seem like a murder for gain because valuables were not stolen from the flat. Neither was there any sign of forced entry. In fact, Kedar used his own key to get into the flat on the day Bidushi died.
