New Delhi, Oct 22: Digvijay Singh, who always hogs limelight with his bombastic statements, once again defended Congress President Sonia Gandhi while overruling all allegations against Robert Vadra.

During an interview with CNN-IBN, the senior Congress leader claimed that Arvind Kejriwal's allegations against Sonia's son-in-law were "hollow" and Mrs Gandhi can not be made the scapegoat over this.

"You cannot hang Mrs Sonia Gandhi for an act which she has not done with your allegations," asserted Digvijay when asked whether Congress president had asked special favour from any Chief Minister for her son-in-law.

Continuing to defend Vadra against Kejriwal's allegations, Digvijay said, "DLF has given point-wise facts. The Haryana government has given. If you don't want to look at it and would already like to charge a person, just because he happens to have married Priyanka Gandhi."

Kejriwal earlier on Friday, Oct 5 claimed that Vardra was provided an interest-free unsecured loan by real estate firm DLF with which Vadra allegedly bought property worth Rs 300 crore from the DLF itself.

The former Team Anna members and RTI activist also said six firms had been registered so that land worth Rs 300 crore was transferred in the name of Vadra. Continuing his statement accusing Vadra of corruption, Kejriwal also stated that he was surprised to see that the DLF provided the loan to buy property mostly in Congress-ruled states of the country.
