EPL 2012-13: Premier League results report - Game Week 8

London, Oct 21: Arsenal slumped to a shock 1-0 defeat at Norwich City as striker Grant Holt scored the only goal for the hosts at Carrow Road. The Canaries earned their first win in eight games this season.

Chelsea came back to beat Tottenham 4-2 at White Hart Lane. Spanish playmker Juan Mata starred with two goals and an assist. Chelsea remain on top of the table and are still unbeaten this season.

Chris Baird goal six minutes from time handed Fulham a narrow 1-0 victory over Aston Villa at Craven Cottage. The Villans are now with just one win in eight games closing in on the relegation zone.

Raheem Sterling became Liverpool's second-youngest goalscorer as the Reds sealed their first home win this season beating Reading 1-0.

Wayne Rooney scored at both ends as Manchester United thrashed Stoke City 4-2 at Old Trafford. Rooney scored an own goal in the 11th minute to give the visitors an early lead but got one back 16 minutes later. Robin van Persie, Danny Wel beck and Rooney netted crucial goals to keep the Red Devils on second spot behind Chelsea.

Super Sub Edin Dzeko's brace helped 10-man champions Manchester City come back to win 2-1 at the Hawthorns against West Brom Albion. James Milner was sent-off for a challenge on Baggies goal-scorer Shane Long.

West Ham United continued their impressive start to the season with a comfortable 4-1 win over Southampton at Upton Park. Mark Noble scored twice while captain Kevin Nolan and striker Modibo Maiga added two goals.

Swansea City ended their winless run with a nervy 2-1 win over Wigan Athletic at the Liberty Stadium. Spaniards Pablo Hernandez and Michu scored second half goals while Emerson Boyce got one back for the visitors.
