Congress shares pie with scam hit NGO run by Khurshid?

Salman Khurshid and Arvind Kejriwal
New Delhi, Oct 15: Renewing his attack on Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid, India Against Corruption (IAC) activist-turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal on Monday, Oct 15 said that Congress is involved with Khurshid in the scam. [Update: UP Govt cracks whip on Salman Khurshid, trust raided]

Kejriwal and his supporters are running a campaign and demanding the resignation of Khurshid following alleged financial irregularities in the functioning of the Zakir Hussain Memorial Trust. The trust is run by Khurshid and his wife Louise.

Kejriwal said that Congress too is involved with Khurshid in the scam. He further alleged that a direct quid pro quo exists between Samajwadi Party (SP) and Salman Khurshid. He said that the UP government will save Khurshid as he is fighting the case of SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav in a disproportionate assets case.

Arvind Kejriwal demanded SIT probe under three retired Supreme Court judges into the allegations. He claimed that in Bulandshahr, differently-abled people claimed that they got equipment just two days back. "Many of the beneficiaries named by Khurshid cannot be traced. One of the beneficiaries was never physically-disabled," said Kejriwal.

Kejriwal addressed large numbers of his supporters at Jantar Mantar on Monday. He said that the photos shown as proof by Khurshid earlier were false. "The photos are from 2010 while the scam happened in 2011," informed Kejriwal.

It seems that "war" between Arvind and Khurshid is going to intensify further in the coming days. Kejriwal promised to furnish more proof against Khurshid and his wife, and huge money made by their NGO in an illegal manner.
