Kingfisher employees yet to get assurance on salary
Last week, wife of one of the ground employee of the beleaguered airline committed suicide in Delhi for she was unable to cope up with the financial hardship.
On Oct 5, KFA got a breather after the freeze on one of its bank accounts was removed. The KFA received a credit line of Rs 60 crore and that money was due to be paid as salary to the employees. But according to the employees, they were yet to get any information on their salaries from the management.
An engineer said while they demand full payment of seven months' salary, they were also exploring other possibilities of payment.
Some of the staff members hoped to get at least three months' salary before Diwali. The agitating KFA employees said that no work would resume till some money was paid.
Meanwhile, KFA owner Vijay Mallya was found retweeting a post that spoke about the three-day Great Indian October Fest starting on Oct 12. The fest is presumably being sponsored by Mallya's beer company.
