Manchester, Oct 3: English champions Manchester City welcome German Bundesliga winners Borussia Dortmund to the Etihad Stadium for their group D clash in the UEFA Champions League group stages.

Roberto Mancini has the squad to compete with the best but after losing a close contest against Real Madrid in game week 1, the Italian is taking nothing for granted when his side battle it out with the German giants.

City have an impressive record at home and hope to maintain a 17-match unbeaten run at the Etihad. However, City have conceded a goal in every single game this season.

Dortmund have no fresh injury concerns as coach Jurgen Klopp looks set to field a strong playing XI.

Meanwhile, Mancini will be without right-back Maicon who will be replaced by Pablo Zabaleta. Jeleon Lescott missed the win against Fulham but is likely to return and partner captain Vincent Kompany in defence.

Since its an important game as far as City are concerned, Mancini will opt for Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez upfront while Edin Dzeko will have to settle on the bench despite scoring the winner at Craven Cottage.
