The Baggies are sitting high up at fourth place in the Premier League table while Liverpool are struggling at 18th place but hope to regain their lost form in the Cup tie.

Liverpool's season is going from bad to worse as they suffered their worst league start over a century while injuries to key players has forced manager Brendan Rodgers to hand starts for young inexperienced players.

Right-back Martin Kelly and centre-back Daniel Agger are set to sit out for a long time after suffering knocks against Manchester United. Young defender Andre Wisdom is likely to start after scoring against Young Boys in the Europa League.

Raheem Sterling, captain Steven Gerrard, Luis Suarez and Martin Skrtel will be rested while left-back Jose Enrique will start along with yuong winger Ousama Assaidi. Young German striker Samed Yesil may also start.

Baggies manager Steve Clarke will be without suspended forward Peter Odemwingie. James Morrison is likely to return but Jerome Thomas is definite to miss the game.

Right-back Steven Ried, who was sidelined since the opening day clash against Liverpool, is still unavailable. West Brom is likely to put forth a strong experienced side while Liverpool will test their young talent.
