72K crore scam: Maharashtra deputy CM Ajit Pawar resigns
While putting down his papers, Ajit Pawar claimed his innocence and also asserted that Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) should take charge of the probe regarding the irrigation scam case.
While speaking to media, Ajit Pawar informed that he communicated with NCP party supremo Sharad Pawar and conveyed about decision on resignation.
Ajit Pawar was under pressure since allegations have been raised against him claiming he was one of those people who earned a lot while looting the exchequers money through the scam. After Ajit Pawar's resignation from the state cabinet, many started speculating - will more names figure out in the list of accused?
