Kolkata/New Delhi, Sept 24: It seems that there is no respite for Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi as Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has started playing the role of a perfect leader from opposition party.

Days after withdrawal of support from UPA government, Mamata Banerjee announced that she will hold a dharna (protest march) at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on Oct 1 protesting against the Centre's decision on FDI in retail and diesel price hike.

The TMC chief on her Facebook page on Monday, Sept 24 wrote, "On 1st October, we, on behalf of the All India Trinamool Congress, will be organising a demonstration at Jantar Mantar at New Delhi. We all will be present to highlight these issues and request the Central Government to withdraw the anti-people decisions."

Following Anna Hazare's path, the CM also invited people to join her in the protest demanding withdrawal of government's decision to introduce FDI in retail and reduce fuel price.

"I am requesting all of you to please come and tell your friends also to join the democratic demonstration at 1 pm on 1st October, 2012," added Ms Banerjee.

Following differences of opinion on FDI and price rise, TMC has pulled out its support from UPA. Six TMC ministers have resigned from central government's cabinet and six Congress ministers too resigned from Ms Banerjee's cabinet in West Bengal.
