EPL 2012-13: Premier League results report - Game Week 4

London, Sep 16: Liverpool still search for a win, Manchester United thrash Wigan, Arsenal hit Southampton for super six, Chelsea and Queens Park Rangers share points. All the Premier League Game week 4 results report from Saturday's matches.

Liverpool managed to seal a point through striker Luis Suarez after going down to Steven Fletcher's first half strike. Despite having possession, the Reds failed to convert their chances, ending in a 1-1 draw.

Premier League Manchester City had to settle for a 1-1 draw at Stoke City. Debutant Javi Garcia equalised for City after Potters' striker Peter Crouch opened the scoring.

Arsenal were back in business after thrashing Southampton 6-1 at the Emirates. The Saints defender Jos Hooiveld scored an own goal early on and set the tempo for the Gunners.

Gervinho scored twice, Lukas Podolski curled a stunning free-kick, Nathaniel Clyne scored another own goal while substitute Theo Walcott made it six. Daniel Fox pulled one back for Southampton in the first half but the damage was done.

Swansea City's unbeaten run ended after after Aston Villa wpn 2-0 at Villa Park. Defender Matthew Lowton gave the Villans an early lead with a stunning shot from outside the box. Two minutes from time, young Belgian forward Christian Benteke scored in his first start for the club.

Dimitar Berbatov made an impressive start to his career at Craven Cottage as Fulham beat West Brom Albion 3-0. The 31-year old Bulgarian scored twice in the first half while Steve Sidwell made it three with only a minute to spare.

Paul Scholes opened the scoring in his 700th appearance for Manchester United as the Red Devils beat Wigan Athletic 4-0 at Old Trafford.

Making his first start in United colours left-back left-back Alexander Buttner scored a stunning goal after skipping and wriggling through the Latics defence. Javier Hernandez and debutant Nick Powell got on the scoresheet to clinch second spot, and a point below leaders Chelsea.

Chelsea were held at Loftus Road to a 0-0 draw by Queens Park Rangers. In the opening fixture of Game Week 4, Norwich City and West Ham United shared points after a 0-0 deadlock at Carrow Road.
