Fire engulfs Tamil Nadu cracker factory, 45 dead, 70 injured
However, the fire brigade officials, who earlier feared of many more explosions at the factory, finally started rescue operations. Unfortunately, people, who tried to rescue the victims, also received burnt injuries.
Thirty two bodies have already been recovered and many more were feared trapped. ZTV reporter Vaithi went to cover the incident and unfortunately he too got severe injuries. According to sources, death toll is likely to increase.
All injured people have been admitted to Virudhunagar, Sivakasi and Madurai hospitals. More than ten fire tenders and 50 officials have been trying to douse the fire.
