Aarushi murder: Another witness shocks all; Parents cornered
According to the guard, he did not notice any strangers or any suspicious incident on the fateful night when 14-year-old Aarushi was killed.
The Talwars' residence in Noida is situated at Jalvayu Vihar which at that time had 1,800 flats with nearly 10,000 residents.
The guard was summoned in the special CBI court in Ghazibad on Friday, Aug 31. While answering to the queries, the guard stated, "No other guard from the other six gates told me about the suspected entry of any outsider or suspicious looking people."
"The person who was on the intercom-phone line told me that there was a big problem in his house and asked me to send a guard," said the security person while informing about the call which he got from Talwars' residence in the morning of May 16, 2008.
Outside Talwars' residence, another maid had informed the security person about Aarushi's murder. Later, Dr Rajesh Talwar had called him inside the house and claimed that their servant Hemraj had killed their daughter and fled away.
If the statements by the witness in the court are to be considered then it was evident that no strangers had trespassed into the Talwars' house on that night. Hence, the security guard's statement raised more fingers at the doctor couple.
Earlier, a senior police official, who too appeared before the court as a crucial witness in the murder case, informed that he was under pressure to suppress the rape angle in the postmortem of the teenager.
Former Noida Superintendent of Police KK Gautam, during chief examination, told the court that the chairman of Noida Eye Hospital Sushil Chaudhry, a friend of slain teenager Aarushi's uncle Dinesh Talwar, had called him and requested him to hide the rape angle in the postmortem. However, he said that he refused to oblige Dinesh Talwar, the elder brother of Aarushi's father and accused Rajesh Talwar.
14-year-old Aarushi was found dead at her Noida residence on May 16, 2008. A day later, their domestic help Hemraj's body was also found in the terrace of their house.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), in its closure report, said that Aarushi's parents were the one and only suspects in the double murder case. While her father succeeded to get bail, her mother remains in Dasna jail in Gurgaon. She was sent to jail on Apr 30, 2011.
