New Delhi, Aug 16: Nupur Mehta, who catapulted to fame after she was alleged to be a honeytrap in the cricket match-fixing scandal, has made some stunning claims on the murky Geetika Sharma's suicide case that has the alleged involvement of former Haryana Minister Gopal Kanda.

Reports have suggested that Nupur was a colleague of deceased Geetika while they were working in a Goa casino, owned by Kanda. Nupur is believed to have worked at the Mint Cruise Casino during the period 2009-2010. She claims that Geetika and Kanda were pretty close and had been on several foreign trips together including Singapore, Dubai, Macau, London and Hong Kong.

Spilling more beans on the infamous relationship, Nupur stated that Geetika had celebrated her 18th birthday at Kanda's farmhouse, day after the birthday celebration of his own daughter. Nupur was working with MDLR airlines and after it became defunct joined the Goa casino in 2009. She has been quoted as saying, "When I joined, I was surprised to see that Kanda had retained all his airhostesses and they worked in the casino. He had an influential circle of friends and acquaintances, including high- profile Congress politicians and businessmen, who visited the casino."

Making further shocking claims, Nupur said that the Goa casino owned by Kanda was running without proper license and in spite of numerous police raids managed to go scot-free due to his high-profile connections he had with many Congress politicians.
