• Robin van Persie is set to complete his medical at Manchester and is due to be confirmed as United player later in the day.
  

• The Dutch striker is nearing a move to Manchester United after Arsenal agreed terms with the Old Trafford club to sell their star striker for a reported fee of £24 million. The 29-year old is likely to sign a four-year contract with United and earn over £200,000-a-week.
  

• The deal is likely to take another twist as United striker Javier Hernandez could move to the Emirates.

• Tottenham wantaway midfielder Luka Modric is set to complete his move to Real Madrid over the coming week, only if the North London club can find a replacement.

• Barcelona are closing in on Arsenal midfielder Alex Song. The Catalans flew to London to seal a deal worth £12 million.

• Liverpool are willing to sell Andy Carroll to Newcastle for £17million.
