New Delhi, Aug 2: A 15-year-old boy's dangerous stunt in front of six friends ended in tragedy as he was run over by a speeding train near the Gari Harsaru railway station three days ago.

The victim Neel Chutani was clicking photographs of the superfast express' moments before his death on Jul 30, police said. The group of teenagers would stand on the tracks and use their mobile phones to record the train's approach.

The boys used to jump clear at the last moment, but the student of Blue Bells School in Gurgaon's Sector-10A evidently couldn't do so in time. One of the photos clicked by the Class 10 boy shows his six friends sitting on the tracks even as a train rushes towards them.

Though the images recovered from his mobile phone seem to corroborate the police version of events, Neel's grieving father is still unconvinced.

According to Ramesh Chutani, it is difficult to believe that his son did not get out of the train's way when he was clearly facing it.

However, investigators are sticking to the theory that it was a railway accident. Neel's friends will be questioned in this connection as they were the eyewitnesses.
